While everybody is talking about fact-checking to fight fake news and misinformation, one important ingredient is usually ignored: our brain. Maren Urner, neuroscientist and co-founder of Perspective Daily, is determined to change that: Only, if we understand our brain and therefore ourselves better, we are able to navigate not only the media, but also are able to create a better society and politics.

Maren Urner has a PhD in Neuroscience and co-founded Perspective Daily in 2015, the first German online publication for Constructive Journalism. After a successful crowdfunding with more than 500,000 € Perspective Daily launched in June 2016. Currently, the start-up is solely financed by its more than 14,000 members and advertisement-free.
