Sune Petersen

Artist, Creative Coder, Designer, Educator, Performer, Software Developer, Technologist

Sunes artistic practice mainly evolves around generative video performance and playful performative installations, usually investigating the noisy behavior of chaotic systems. He has been active in this field since 1997 and is constantly exploring the technology for new possibilities.

With a background in science, having studied both physics and computer engineering, in combination with a creative approach to technology, he has opened up for commercial work, for instance in museums where he creates interactive installations using complex projections and multiple channels of audio to mediate them.

Having been on the forefront in the creative use of technology, Sune has been teaching in different contexts which includes institutions all across Europe and an extensive period at Aalborg University.

Sune has used vvvv as his main tool since 2006.

FM Aether

Composer, Musician

FM Aether, co-founder of the Frankfurt based cassette label MMODEMM and producer of tennis clubhouse-anthems under the name of Rolande Garros mixes and manipulates polyrhythmic patterns, synth-layers, raw house and analogue hiss by using obsolete technology. Namely magnetic tape, two walkmans and a delay pedal.
Driven by the idea of EVP, FM Aether is trying to get in touch with the intermediate and dead world via tape, always on a sonic search for artefacts and testimonies of ‘past ideas of the future’.

FM Aether also performs under the name Les trucs together with Karly Simon and as his aka Rolande Garros.

Carly Simon

Composer, Musician

As one of three people behind Frankfurt label MMODEMM, Carly Simon has been involved in putting out some of the most interesting music committed to tape in the last several years.
More recently, her abilities as a DJ have come to the fore outside of her base in Frankfurt, thanks to a number of stand-out mixes for the likes of female:pressure. Charlotte Simon aka Carly Simon aka Carl Simon presents ‘Host Stewart am Quasar’, a performance exploring the improvisational sequential side of electronic music,  guided by the aesthetics and limitations of the machines she is using rather than a stringent concept, composition or skill.

Other projects not miss out on include: Mutandini Karl & Les Trucs
