Hacking Sex with vvvv
Inspired by Sex Tech Hack, we hosted an open approach to sex and technology, hacking culture, intimacy, and gender roles in the community of vvvv.
What happened in the workshop?
Practically, we teached how to use vvvv and Arduino to custom control vvvvibrators 🙂
Who was the target audience of the workshop?
Anyone interested in thinking about intimacy, companionship and sexuality.
What did attendees of your workshop learn?
After a short introduction on intimacy, companionship, sexuality and the role & possibilities of technology they learned how to custom control a vibrator using Arduino & vvvv. We made sure to explain everything from the bottom up and encouraged people to take the time to discuss and explore new possibilities. Imagine hooking a vibrator up to sensors, data sets, twitter, kinects, VR? Or changing their function and appearance!

Dominik Koller

dominikkoller.netDominik is a student from Austria, interested in interactive media art and audiovisual installations. He likes to explore, create and realize experimental ideas, often with code.
For his work Visual:Drumset, an interactive drum visualization, he was awarded a Golden Nica at the Prix Ars Electronica 2013. Working for Nexus Interactive Arts, Marshmallow Laser Feast, and the vvvv Group, he has been able to take his ambitions for digital arts and technology to a professional level.
Dominik has been teaching or given guest lectures at the Interactive Architecture Lab (UCL), the RCA and Goldsmiths University.
