Digitale Welten Festival 2024: Urban Creators Hackathon
Do you want to hack your city? If you're between 11 and 18 years old, join our hackathon!
During the 2024 fall break, you are invited to actively help shape our city. At the Urban Creators Hackathon, people aged between 11 and 18 learn how to code and work creatively with technology – and will develop creative ideas to make our city smarter.
Whether it’s designing an app for a swimming pool overcrowding indicator or creating a digital map with the best skating parks – there are no limits to your imagination.
Over the course of three days, the participants work together with mentors from the fields of IT, art and design. They brainstorm, collect ideas, program and design artworks and prototypes. The aim is to use open data and open street maps to develop creative projects for the city.
The hackathon will take place from October 21 to 23, 2024. The results will be presented in a colorful and lively exhibition on October 25.
How can I join?
No previous experience is required, so beginners are also welcome. The participation fees are 0 and 30 euros, so they are free for anyone who cannot afford a participation fee. Catering for participants is included.
