display is the new space for digital practice in the heart of Frankfurt am Main.

Soft Opening what?

From November 10-15, 2025, we will be opening – but only very “softly” at first – a very special place: display, the new space for digital practice in the center of Frankfurt. As a walk-in screen and interface, experimental laboratory, and community space, it promotes creative, critical, and practical engagement with technology.

The space is being planned and implemented in cooperation with the Digitalization Department of the City of Frankfurt am Main. Together, we are creating space for workshops, community, discourse, and networking, thus forming an interface between our fields of interest and the urban community.

Ideas & People welcome!

There are already many ideas for the project—but we are still a long way from finishing the planning. That’s why we invite you to join us from November 10 to 15, 2025, for the soft opening of display as part of the “Aktionstage Netzpolitik & Digitalisierung” (Action Days on Internet Policy & Digitization) organized by the State Centers for Political Education.

During these days, we will open the doors to the still unfinished space, gather ideas, people, projects, program suggestions, and contacts with neighbors. There will be lectures, things to look at, try out, craft, and learn – and to snack.

Soft Opening what?

Vom 10.-15. November 2025 eröffnen wir – aber erst mal nur “softly” – einen ganz besonderen Ort: display – den neuen Raum für digitale Praxis im Zentrum Frankfurts. Als begehbarer Screen und Interface, Experimentierlabor und Community-Space fördert er die kreative, kritische und praktische Auseinandersetzung mit Technologie.

Geplant und umgesetzt wird der Raum in Kooperation mit der Stabsstelle Digitalisierung der Stadt Frankfurt am Main. Gemeinsam schaffen wir Raum für Workshops, Community, Diskurs und Vernetzung und somit ein Interface zwischen unseren Themen und der Stadtgesellschaft.

Ideen & Menschen willkommen!

Für das Projekt gibt es bereits viele Ideen – aber wir sind noch längst nicht am Ende der Planung. Und deshalb laden wir euch ein: vom 10.-15. November 2025 zum Soft Opening von display im Rahmen der “Aktionstage Netzpolitik & Digitalisierung” der Landeszentralen für politische Bildung.

In diesen Tagen öffnen wir die Türen in den noch unfertigen Raum, sammeln Ideen, Menschen, Projekte, Programmvorschläge und Kontakt zu Nachbar*innen. Es gibt Vorträge, Sachen zum Anschauen, zum Ausprobieren, zum Basteln und Lernen – und ein paar Schmankerl.
