Cake & Computers
The meeting point for senior citizens: Bring your questions about technology!
Sometimes social media, FaceTime, and online banking can feel overwhelming. But computers, smartphones, and tablets are actually easier to understand than they seem—because, at their core, they’re just familiar elements of everyday life: a desk, a file folder, a mailbox, an address book.
That’s exactly where we start: Every Thursday, we set aside time to focus on a specific topic and answer all kinds of questions: How do I add a contact to my phone? How do I access my email inbox? What actually happens when I click here? You bring your own devices, we go through everything together at a leisurely pace, and you try it out for yourself—no prior knowledge is required, and you can’t break anything. Along the way, we’ll share a story or two about how this technology came to be.
