TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin XVI
The meeting point for creatives and developers working with TouchDesigner
Organized by our NODE Institute, TouchDesigner Roundtable Berlin is inviting creatives and developers who work with the visual development platform TouchDesigner as well as everybody who is curious about the world of interactive media art and the people behind it.
20:00 Uhr / 8.00 PM / Thomas Mann
Thomas Mann, who has a background in architecture, and his friends founded the studio FRAMEFIELD ten years ago to craft user-centered apps for VR, AR, 3D and medical. To that end, they developed the open-source software TOOLL. It leverages visual programming to provide a workflow for realtime graphics, creative coding and procedural animations.
With origins in the demo scene TOOLL has extensive methods for syncing with music and the completely rewritten version 3 focusses on live performance and VJing.
21:00 Uhr / 9.00 PM / Ploypapus Phosry
Ployz aka Plyzitron is a Thai multimedia artist, living and working in Berlin. Her work takes on multiple forms, such as motion graphic design, 2D-3D animation, generative design and audiovisual art. She has a special interest in real-time visualization, art & science and analog-digital interfacing.
Ployz will talk about her use of TouchDesigner in the production of “Chasing Waterfalls”, a multimedia opera which was partially composed and written by artificial intelligence, that premiered recently at Semperoper Dresden.
22:00 Uhr / 10.00 PM / Markus Heckmann
Markus Heckmann (Technical Director with Derivative) is not only the author of popular TouchDesigner tools like CamSchnappr or the new GPU particle system but also a visual artist and live video performer.
