#NODE20 Call for Volunteers Technical Support

NODE20 is happening – help our visitors to join us in the virtual realm!

From October 2 – 8, 2020, NODE Forum for Digital Arts will bring together artists, designers, researchers, and technologists to critically reflect on emergent creative practices. In response to this year’s extraordinary circumstances, NODE20 will create hybrid spaces for conversation, learning and experimentation.

We are looking for committed people who are interested in joining our team for the duration of the festival and support our festival community if they encounter any problems while using our virtual platforms.

Mozilla Hubs

One of the spaces is the GreenHouse NAXOS, an open virtual playground created in cooperation with studioNAXOS. The project uses Mozilla Hubsan open source project that explores how communication in mixed reality can come to life. We have designed our own 3D festival experience for NODE20 in Hubs which will be a platform for gathering in virtual space, meet ups, workshops and for our exhibition.

In Mozilla Hubs you will support people with:

  • navigating their avatar through different spaces
  • joining a virtual session or workshop or other parts of the program
  • engaging and interacting with other users and the community
  • building additional structures

Festival Hub

NODE20’s main virtual Festival Hub is the web and mobile app Talque. Here, festival visitors can attend the conference sessions streamed from Künstlerhaus Mousonturm and join the conversations. They are able to share their (professional) profiles, interests and network (professionally or personally).

In Talque you help people to:

  • watch the multiple live streams of our program
  • join the interactive online workshops
  • engage on our physical stages via live chat, Q&A and webcam
  • network and discuss with the speakers, artists and the whole community
  • host own agenda sessions on our virtual Unconference Stage
