Student job: Social Media Management & PR support

NODE is looking for a colleague for project-related social media management & public relations – with a focus on our media arts, teens and educational program Digitale Welten.

  •  for 10-15 hrs. per week (can be adjusted according to individual possibilities).
  • starting 01.07.23 or as soon as possible, currently limited until 31.12.2023.

 

 
 

Digitale Welten

 
 

Digitale Welten is the youth program of NODE Verein zur Förderung Digitaler Kultur e.V. and a network for political, cultural, informatics and digital media education in Frankfurt am Main and in Hessen. Together with international media artists, we develop workshop and other project formats for young people that invite them to critically and creatively take apart or reinvent technologies. NODE is a non-profit association and a recognized youth welfare organization in Hesse.

We organize the youth media art festival Digitale Welten and Jugend hackt Frankfurt, as well as other various offerings for youth between the ages of 10 and 18. In the fall of 2023, we are also planning a new LARP-like project with two youth houses in Frankfurt and Rhein-Main.

 

Your tasks

  • Support of our social media channels (Instagram, Mastodon, Twitter, Facebook, others if necessary)
  • Real-time social media updates during events
  • Event announcements and reviews
  • Developing posts on thematic focuses, based on the project CI – but with creative freedom
  • Supporting editorial work for our website and newsletters

What you should bring

  • A desire to write copy and an eye for beautiful images and design
    Experience with different social media platforms (professional or private)
  • Basic skills in Photoshop and Indesign
  • Ability to work in a team and communication skills
  • Flexibility in terms of the design of the work phases
  • Independent way of working
  • Basic German language skills (we are happy to support each other in the team with proofreading)
  • Enrollment at a German university
