Aileen Treusch is primarily concerned with creating cultural spaces for urban societies. After working at different institutions such as the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main she founded faktory – a platform for exhibitions, studies and interdisciplinary projects at the interface of art, science and urban development.
She is commissioned to advise organizations, municipalities, investors and planning offices or initiates own projects that investigate different contexts and connections between art and culture, urban sphere and city societies.
Recent projects have included the Festival “Poesie des Wohnens”, the cultural and urban planning competition for Düsseldorf “Flow” (1st prize) and the research and exhibition project “Today I Cleaned Out My Wardrobe”. She is a member of the board of the art association Mañana Bold as well as member of the Cultural Commission of the City of Offenbach.
Topics such as design, poetry, music and migration as well as the correlation of digital and analog space have been the center of interest.
