Begüm is an art historian holding a Master’s degree in architectural theory and modern architecture. During her studies at Goethe University Frankfurt, she developed a particular interest in questions of perception, especially in relation to sensory experience at the intersection of virtual and physical spaces.

She joined the Art Mediation Team at NODE15 and took on a leading role at NODE17 as part of the Art Education Program. Since then, she has been involved in the development of mediation formats and in shaping the conceptual direction of the Art Mediation Team.
