Benny Hauser was born in 1980 in Stuttgart, works as a freelance lighting designer in Switzerland.

During his education as an event technician, he was able to work with the lighting artist Friedrich Förster. After studying, he worked for more than 10 years as a lighting designer and technical manager in Berlin for artists such as Constanz a Macras, Santiago Blaum and Ariel Ashbel. He also worked for the exhibition “Cloud Cities” by Thomás Saraceno at Hamburger Bahnhof, for for the Modemesse Bread and Butter in Barcelona and Berlin and with the lighting designer Martin Kuhn. He also developed his own art and theater projects, playing drums and analog synths in various bands. 2013 he moved to Basel as a technical manager for the Theater ROXY. Since 2016 he has been working as a freelance lighting designer and technical director for artists such as Capri Connection, Tabea Martin, Boris Nikitin, Anne Liv Young and Neue Dringlichkeit.
