Oliver is political editor at the german weekly Die ZEIT and university teacher for digital transformation of news media. He is especially interested in finding new ways to engage people in debates about local politics using digital and analogue platforms. Oliver has studied economic sociology, economics and psychology, worked as news editor for the news agency dpa and as economic reporter at Süddeutsche Zeitung. In the last three years he has helped Die ZEIT to launch a new regional section in Hamburg.
