Media Designer, Video Artist, Visual Artist

Berlin, Germany

The Berlin based media artist and designer is the co-founder of the creative coding education hub The NODE Institute, the projection mapping festival Genius Loci Weimar and the media art and design studio MXZEHN. Already during his training as an architect at the Bauhaus-University Weimar he focussed on the augmentation of physical structures with interactive, generative media and pioneered live visual performance at festivals across Europe. As an assistant professor in interaction design he deepened his expertise and used it to pursue an international career as a designer and educator which brought him back regularly to teach at his alma mater, last in 2016 as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Art and Design. Today his design practise develops work for clients from the industry and cultural institutions.

Stefan supports David Brüll with the planning and organization of the workshop program with a focus on the integration of the visual programming and TouchDesigner community. Additionally he assists the curators of the AV live performance program and plays with the idea how to realise an augmented exhibition experience.
