3d Printing Ceramics

Although 3D printing is standard procedure by now, we took over control and opened new possibilities on shape generating design processes by creating machine instructions in real-time. We combined this with a rather uncommon and especially demanding material: ceramics.

Who was the target audience of the workshop?
Designers & Artists who have interest in connecting the virtual abstract with the physical concrete.

What did attendees of the workshop learn?
That printing ceramics is nothing like printing plastics. How their way of thinking of printed objects changed, when it can be influenced in realtime, online. How printing ceramics is a totally different experience the PLA.
