Have you always wanted to develop your own game? Do you want young people to be listened to by the society? Or are you interested in your first very own technology project? No matter what idea you have in mind, when you become part of the Digital-AG / Meetup you can turn your ideas reality and work together with other interested people in the topic.

Digital-AGs start on 12 January 2019, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. – with a warm-up workshop at the Museum für Kommunikation in Frankfurt am Main.

The follow-up date is 09 February 2019.

What happens in the Digital AG?

The AG is all about having fun, trying out, discovering and discussing new things together. In a relaxed atmosphere, you can exchange ideas with other young people on social and technical topics (e.g. the city of the future, identity and social interaction), invite interesting people to give talks, get involved with technology, 3D printing, browse magazines, develop digital games and much more!

As a Digital-AGent*in you can realize your own ideas and projects. There are no limits to your creativity! You don’t have an idea yet? Come by anyway and let yourself be inspired!

What happens at the first meeting?

We start on January 12th with the workshop “Data Dancing“: Design your own app that connects you with your friends!

How much information would you like to share to see your friends’ dates? What do you want from a digital meeting place and can it be used by everyone? In this workshop you will learn how to create interactive prototypes with paper, pens and tablets and the role of anonymity and surveillance.

How can you participate?

The offer is of course free of charge and open to everyone! You don’t need any previous knowledge – curiosity and fun are enough. Just come by and let us answer all your questions on site.

And why is that?

Many creative young technology enthusiasts live in Frankfurt. We always want to develop new formats for them. To this end, we work in a network with the Jugendbildungswerk / Jugend- und Sozialamt, Jugend hackt and the Democracy Laboratories as well as institutions such as the Museum für Kommunikation Frankfurt or the Jungen Museum Frankfurt.

After two successful festival editions of Digitale Welten und Jugend hackt (Digital Worlds and Youth Hacks), FFM and Digital-AG, organized by the Museum für Kommunikation in Frankfurt am Main, are now creating an offer in Frankfurt that aims to take place regularly. The AG should be a place that offers space for all those who have caught fire and don’t want to wait a year until the next youth hacks event in Frankfurt or the Digital Worlds Festival takes place.

If the Digital AGs are well attended, the goal is to make this offer every month.
